A Punk Rock Romance - WIP

A cozy romance featuring a young woman from privilege, and a young man from the wrong side of the tracks.

Ashtyn is the daughter of a highly respected attorney, with a full-ride tuition to one of the most prestigious schools in the country. When she tanks the BAR exam and finds herself back home for the summer, preparing for a second chance. While stranded on the side of the road, she has a second-chance meeting with the bartender from her best friend's birthday--and he turns out to be just as charming outside of the bar as he was the night she met him.

J.D. is a guy who knows how it feels to be down on your luck. Living above the bar he works at was lucky--the owner wasn't about to kick him out after he lost his mom, after all. Now, armed with adulthood and nothing standing between himself and his future but a juvenile record that hadn't ever mattered, J.D. stumbles across a damsel in distress and finds his whole world rocked. He had been doing just fine coasting along on the fumes of his infrequent successes, thank you!

The two find they have more in common than they ever could have imagined, and feelings start to brew between the two that portends a happily ever after--or a devastating heartbreak.
